Jeff Steen has a masters in education and has trained extensively in resiliency strategies and conflict management. An educator with 23 years experience, he is the 2013 state-wide winner of the Golden Apple Award for excellence in education.
Jeff experienced a divorce in 2004, when he and his wife paid more than $40,000 in legal fees each, only to end up with an agreement that was very similar to the agreement that they had before they started. As a result of this experience, he is determined to help other families avoid the litigation process. Divorce is an end, and a transition. But a divorce is also an opportunity to start a new relationship with each other, and that relationship can be positive. It's possible for a settlement to make sense. Jeff wants clients to learn how to take control of the process.
A longtime musician, and former lead singer of "The Savage Henrys," a popular band on the University of Oregon campus in the 1990s, Jeff still loves to play music and can be found at area jazz bands and music festivals as often as his busy schedule allows.
